This was easily one of the best candidate pipelines I've gone through, probably the best experience so far. All the interviewers were professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I worked with two recruiters during my interview process, and I really appreciated the transparency and prompt responses from both recruiters. Here's the process I went through:
1. Phone screen with a recruiter about the role and expectations.
2. Hiring manager call (45 min). Be prepared to talk about your experience and provide examples!
3. Portfolio review with the team (90 min). Prepare 2-3 projects that reflect your design experience and be prepared to describe your projects in detail!
4. Design exercise via Google Hangout (~4 hours). For this design exercise, I was given a prompt beforehand and conducted this exercise live in collaboration with others. I approached this exercise similar to how I approach whiteboard challenges and prioritized my thought process over the solution.
From start to finish, the process was smooth and efficient. I believe it took about four weeks from the initial call to offer. Overall, a great experience!

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Addepar (New York, NY) en oct. 2016
Entretien
I applied in early October for the role of Product Designer in NYC and the recruiter got back to me in mid-October. There were a total of 4-5 interview rounds, about the same as the other SF startups.
1) Phone screening with HR
2) Portfolio review with a UX designer
3) Design challenge (to be completed within 1 week), present design to Design Manager and a PM
4) 9-hour SF On-site interview
5) ? NYC On-site interview
All of the interviewers were extremely helpful and professional! The interview process was long but the recruiters were responsive and definitely made the entire experience manageable.
