I had only a first stage interview with the recruiter. It took 32 days for me to get a response which was eventually a rejection. I don't understand how a first round interview can take this long, considering it was just an intro call and nothing technical, I was not even given any good reason why it was taking so long even after sending two follow up emails to the recruiter. During the interview the recruiter said he would get back to me the following week and stated he would not ‘ghost’ me but eventually did. I find this kind of treatment to candidates quite unfair as people put in a lot of effort into job applications only to be treated like this. When I applied for this role, I was very excited about working for this company, I read a lot about the history of the company and also its values but this experience is the complete opposite of what I read. I don’t think a company that treats people like this can be a good place for me or even anyone to work.
