      Entretien

      I walked away from this process actually believing that it was some kind of joke. Had an initial conversation with a recruiter, followed by a successful call with the hiring manager. I was asked to put together a presentation on data analytics (basic SQL and Python) and leadership skills. Gave the presentation during an hour to a couple of managers on the team with great conversation but afterward, this is where it got odd. I shared the presentation with the recruiter and was more or less completely ghosted for several weeks after. I emailed between 4-6 times asking for an update with no response. I spoke with a former employee who mentioned this happens at Adyen- they take your content and never respond. After several weeks of emailing and receiving no response, feedback or confirmation one way or another, I gave up. Then about 5 weeks after my final attempt at contacting this company, I get a short email saying they've gone in a different direction. This was a Senior level manager position that they handled in this way. Very confusing and difficult to take seriously.

      Processed started off seemingly organized: first interview with recruiter was pleasant. General questions about motivation, interests and shared an overview of selection process. Second stage with engineering manager was very unpleasant. Rude/offensive posture with condescending tone in every question. Seemed like they did not want to be there and a decision was made before first question was asked. Again, questions about motivation, previous technical experience with high scale data science, challenges and how you overcame them. At the end, asked about typical projects - they were unable to provide a straight answer like I could spin off a company to compete with them with that information. After almost 2 weeks, recruiter is radio silence. Does not respond emails asking for feedback. Inconsiderate and disrespectful. Do not spend your time here. Negative culture.
