Straight Forward interview process..All remote process. Applied through an employee referral and the recruiter scheduled a Hiring Manager interview after 10 days of resume submission.
Hiring Manager call was for an hour(only over the phone) and it was just to see if I would be a fit and what my skill sets were. He asked 4 technical questions - 1. How do you ensure code can be maintained well? 2. Name a few design patterns that you have used. 3. Data structures - high level on them.
Then the recruiter scheduled a coding interview immediately. This was the hardest part. It was a Codility test for 100 mins and it was extremely hard(in my opinion). Three medium to hard coding questions and I managed to complete all three although 2nd had performance issues. 3rd task ran all test cases fine. But the score was extremely disappointing. I got a 58% only and I thought I would be rejected. I gave my feedback on how hard and stringent(time wise) the programmes were.
The next day the recruiter called to schedule next round and I was surprised as my score was pretty bad but he said Codility was just roled out and looks like so far I scored the highest. The next was a technical interview with someone in the team for 45 mins but recruiter rescheduled and said its going to be a panel of 4 for an hour.
The final interview was with 4 programmers and it was completely technical(Zoom interview) Kafka streaming questions and error handling, Transaction rollback, equals and hash code, CI/CD questions and general kafka questions.
This was not very hard but judging if I did well was hard.
The next day I got the offer.
Getting through the codility test is the hardest but I did give feedback to increase the time for the test and also consider lower scores.
