After a 30 minute call with a recruiter and then 4 separate 45 minute interviews, I did not get the job because they hired an internal candidate. It feels like I was added to the candidate pool because I am a woman and they needed to look like they are an equal opportunity employer. If you do some research, this company got into some serious legal trouble a few years ago due to gender discrimination against women.
