Interview process is as many say on here. I was able to make it to the on-site interview and here is my experience:
First interview is an hour (strike 1). She comes in and barely asks any questions and delves right into the BREAD process, easy enough, but it felt as though they really didn't truly care about you or who you were. Also got a very condescending vibe immediately from the interviewer. After explaining the BREAD process, you are given 15 minutes (strike 2) to pick 2 cases and chose 2 advisors for each. After this short amount of time, she comes back in and spits a bunch of information back at you giving you feedback and feels like she expects you to know every company and every type of job title in the world (what?). The more time that went on the more the condescending attitude came out. I immediately felt like I was getting interviewed for an experienced hire position vs an internship. You have to really absorb everything she says immediately and be able to process and spit it out right away. We then do a mock call and that went fine. She then asks you to talk about what you did well and then asks you a few other questions in regard to the position.
Overall, the interview was not conversational and behavioral but mostly how fast you can learn a process and perform.
Then the second interview came (1 hour): He asks you to come up with 4 entirely new advisors, utilizing all the information you were just given in a 10 minute conversation from interviewer 1 (strike 3). All of the sudden I felt like it was expected that I have 2 months of training under my belt. This interview ended up going terribly and overall a poor experience.
Their interview process might be suitable for a select few, and that's just the point. They are looking for one type of person and are not truly interested in having their interns gain any sort of knowledge or experience, or learn in general. It seems as though AlphaSights is not interested in letting young college students grow into business professionals through them, they'd like already seasoned professionals for their intern position. No thanks.
I would probably avoid AlphaSights.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
What would you do if you had two clients who wanted advisors by the end of the day but you knew you wouldn't have time for both
Interview process was ok, several stages and language test as it was a particular language speaking role, only downside really was very little feedback given at the end when not successful. When I asked for a feedback call as to why I wasn’t successful they didn’t answer my question and it was a 2 mins call saying that I was just unsuccessful.
