If there was a star rating on this website, I would rank this interview process a negative 5/5 stars. The overall process for this position, from application until conclusion, lasted about two months. However, if we are being 100% technical, the process is still ongoing and will be going indefinitely, because after three interview rounds and a writing assignment, I have been ghosted and ignored by the people I interviewed with. The process until the final round consisted of a 30-minute initial screener interview, then an hour video call, then a short writing assignment, and finally the final video interview. I believe it is important to note that this is for a virtually entry-level position. The interview consisted of very typical interview questions, especially situational and behavioral questions. The questions were easy to answer, but after talking to the same person with only one additional person added for the final round, by the end, it got very repetitive. While I was beginning to get fatigued with how many steps were in the process, I really didn't experience intense frustration until the process concluded. After the final round (which was pleasant and friendly, I thought), I was informed that I would be hearing back within a week. It has now been several weeks since I heard from anyone at the AKF. I understand that things can come up that delay the process, and I am completely sympathetic to that. I waited a bit, but finally sent a follow-up just asking if a decision had been made. That has also been ignored. The job market is hard, and I have been through this process several times. This is the most disrespectful conclusion I have ever experienced in my life. Realistically, I have devoted 5-10 hours to this job process, and was not granted the decency of receiving a final decision email, which has really disappointed me. I hope this is just a one-off and not a pattern within the organization, but I thought it was important to let anyone interviewing with this organization know about the unprofessionalism that I experienced.
