I applied for the position via their website in June. HR sent me an email within a month requesting and interview and the interview happened a week later. The process to fill the position took longer than they led me to believe and I became very discouraged as there was no communication. I was very happy to receive a call and offered the job. The HR person was wonderful and worked with me on my salary, vacation and starting date.

The hiring process at Amtrak is very slow with little communication to those that apply and the candidates. The interview process is geared toward relating to the culture and little on experience.
