The first stage was a recruiter interview, which went well. The second stage was delayed for quite some time due to the team being away. Eventually, I was invited to the office, which was a pleasant experience. I had a great interview session, everything seemed to go smoothly, and I delivered well on the coding challenge.
Despite all that, I didn’t get the offer. It’s hard to know what’s expected these days, you can excel in every aspect and still be rejected. On the soft skills front, I connected well with the team. We were laughing, collaborating, and genuinely enjoying solving the problem together. Honestly, the only explanation I can come up with is that they might have felt intimidated.
