Overall, I had a very positive experience interviewing with Analysys Mason, interviewers were professional and created a positive, engaging environment. The process included a recorded video interview (2 or 3 questions), followed by a first-round interview with motivational questions (why Analysys Mason, why consulting, why TMT) and a business case. The next stage involved a pre-prepared presentation on a TMT topic, along with another business case and a brainteaser.

Analysys Mason’s interview process typically combines case studies, technical questions, and behavioral interviews. Candidates demonstrate problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, often through structured frameworks, market sizing, and strategy assessments, reflecting consulting’s fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Initially it was an online assessment and a pre-recorded interview (only voice was recorded, no video recording at all). After this you progress to face-to-face interviews. The first interview was around 1.5 hours. Conducted by two employees, mine was mainly led by a senior manager with ~15 years experience at the company. Only four competency/motivational questions were answered: 1. Why Analysys Mason? 2. Why consulting? 3. What does an associate consultant do (within AM) 4. Tell us about a relevant TMT news article After this was market sizing, and contrary to some of the straightforward questions that other interviewees here have been asked, mine was more complex (below) For market sizing I would definitely recommend considering questions that really consider thinking outside the box. I'm not sure what questions other candidates faced this year, but there's definitely the possibility of receiving a complex one.
