Visited New York office on MBA site visit of company. Originally applied for the Account Manager role. Process started with a general HR phone screen to ascertain fit and motivation. Received second phone interview with hiring manager and was asked about background/fit, as well as mini-cases and behavioral interview questions. After following up over a series of several weeks, they flew me to the NY office for a day of interviews (two interviews in the morning, a "non-evaluative" lunch with staff and other candidates, and two interviews in the afternoon--including a sales presentation). All of the interviews focused on assessing company and role "fit," and there were a lot of "tell me about a time when..." questions. After the interview, I received very little feedback and followed up with HR for about two months. They finally called me back and said that they liked me but that they were trying to find the best role for me in the company. They subsequently interviewed me for the Technical Account Manager role, which seemed like less of a fit than Account Manager and not at all in line with my background. That interview led nowhere, and eventually the communication fizzled. I finally received a response about one or two months later saying that they would delay filling the position until after the first of the year.
Multiple interviews with different people. Everyone was very friendly during this process. I have really enjoyed it. No more to say about the interview at AppNexus. Go for it, you'll be fine

Received an email inviting me for an interview with the hiring manager, and was to be followed up by someone from recruiting to setup the interview. After I responded with available times, there was a no-show. Received a response after ~45 days, saying the position will be closing shortly.
Recruitment team needs training on how to treat candidates as people.

Entretien
Consisted of an initial call with HR, a meeting with several members of the team for half a day as well as a final call with a member of the leadership team. The interview process was fast, efficient and well organised. Communication with the recruitment team was fantastic throughout, I was kept fully informed about how things were progressing and next steps indeed everybody I met or spoke with was warm, welcoming and helpful. During my day of face-to-face interviews I was given a tour of the floor (very impressive working environment) and introduced to members of the team. I also had a nice break where I had tea and snacks and hung out with a friendly HR manager who talked me through what it was like to work at AppNexus. Overall this was easily the most well thought out interview process I have experienced. I was quickly updated after each stage and if I ever had questions or needed to make changes, the AppNexus team went out of their way to help. I cannot speak highly enough of the AppNexus team. I was thoroughly impressed with each interaction I had and was consistently treated with courtesy, respect and transparency.
