I was asked some brief questions about general programming topics such as sorting algorithms and inheritance. I was interviewed by two people, one HR lady and an engineer. Then I was given time to complete 3 written questions but with only 20 minutes of time. The amount of time was not enough to complete all the problems completely. The programming questions on paper were either in C or C++. Unfortunately, I am much more familiar with Java.

The interview process was 3 rounds: recruiter, manager, and c-suite. I absolutely do not recommend anyone to join this train wreck. They have ZERO respect for employees. They wanted me to take the offer immediately, give my two weeks notice the day after, then immediately start the job. Then it would go into Christmas, but they expected me to take vacation days, while going through onboarding before the new year starts. The recruiter (let’s call her JZ) is also extremely manipulative. Saying I’m not willing to carve out time, when in fact they’re asking me to work for free before I officially start. Stay away from this private equity owned train wreck! You’ll clearly see red flags throughout the process.

I learned about the company at a career fair. I applied online. The recruiting process at PDFTron is fast.
The process consisted of 3 interviews. A phone screening where we went over the position, the culture, and my experience, and two technical interviews, where we went over my experience, technical questions and talked to the relevant department lead, and the founder during the last interview.
The interviewers made you feel comfortable, the interview felt like a conversation.

General programming questions (eg. polymorphism, design patterns).
General machine learning questions (eg. basic concepts, familiarity with CNNs, model training).
Reverse a linked list, perform math operations on nodes in a BST, and draw a circle in an array were the three questions I remember.
