I applied and had an email from the hiring manager/supervisor about a week later to set up a date & time to interview/connect. Once in the interview (via Teams) the supervisor and I connected well (or so I thought we did). We talked for a little over an hour. He was asking questions about my experience and how I'd fit into the role. I asked questions about the role, the team, and the expectations. I thought it went GREAT! I'm not sure what happened but I NEVER heard from the hiring manager/supervisor again. I had planned a follow up message to try and get an update and literally in the middle of the night I received a "Thank you but no thank you" message. I sent the supervisor I spoke with a "Thank you for the opportunity" message and presented staying connected but literally never heard from the gentleman again. I interview in the middle of August and got the rejection toward the end of September.
