Approximately a week after submitting my CV, the HR manager scheduled a Zoom call with the CEO for the interview. However, the interview was delayed, and the CEO seemed uninterested in the conversation. I was well-prepared but received very little information from him. I tried to extract details about what they were looking for, how the team is organized, and their expectations. Initially, they responded enthusiastically to my questions but soon became disinterested and ended the interview, promising to send a task. There was no discussion about team structure or inquiries about my expectations as a candidate.
A day after the interview, I received a task. Surprisingly, it wasn't a typical case-solving task related to future responsibilities. Instead, it was a strategy preparation for promoting two of their websites, resembling a brief for an external vendor. After submission, I received no feedback. Following up, I was informed that the position had closed, only to see it reopened a few days later.
Be cautious: this experience suggests the company may not be very people-oriented. Additionally, there's a possibility of being asked to solve a real business need without any feedback or recognition.
