Getting to the interview was a little challenging because the suite is located at the back of the plaza. 30 min before actual interview you are asked to fill out paperwork which is standard so have your references and experience on you when you attend. It was a little odd that I interviewed with another perspective employee which is a tad unusual if you ask me. We were both asked different questions which made me feel as if I were a contestant on a game show. The interviewer was professional, courteous, and took no more than 20-30 min. Both of us were offered the job on the spot which was exciting and I was advised I'd be sent a formal offer a day later but took over a week...I wonder the level of organization and turnover within the agency. They only offer you around 20 hours to start. What I suspect is they are trying to hire as many behavior techs as possible so they don't have to offer full benefits as 36 hours is considered full time and at 30 consistent hours you are offered medical benefits-this is just an assumption though. Some pros is that they will pay for you to obtain your RBT( registered behavioral tech) cert which is nationally recognized shortly after employment. Also they will help fund a Masters in Behavioral Analysis which is great if you are a recent college grad. I wound up rejecting the position because of low compensation. They advertised 12.75-21.25 per hour and offered me slightly above the lowest comp having a BA, bilingual, and experience with the target population. Also be aware that they will offer you a clinical rate and your rate while driving and doing non clinical work is minimum wage. This could be a good gig if you want experience in ABA and are willing to put in time with the company to advance.
