One of the longest, most drawn out interview processes I have ever seen with very poor communication. Started with a phone screening, after which I was told they would send me an online engineering assessment and then would pass my name along to do a technical interview with another engineer. I was told that I was for sure getting that interview and that they had a very urgent need to hire someone. The assessment was sent that same day and was more of an attention to detail test. The instructions were purposefully vague and the questions overall seemed pretty pointless. I'm not sure what the value of the assessment is to them. After the assessment and phone screening I waited a full week but they never reached out to schedule the technical interview. I sent a follow up email a week later and got no response. Two weeks later I sent another follow up and got a response that they were still interested in doing the interview, most likely that week. Two weeks after that, a full month after my initial screening, they finally reached out to schedule the interview. I scheduled an online interview via Zoom for a couple of days later. The day of the interview I logged on 5 minutes before the interview time. I sat in a virtual waiting room and was never let in. Forty-five minutes later the time had expired with the interview never taking place. During that time I sent two emails and called the only contact number I had 3 times with no response. About 3 hours after our scheduled time they called and said that something had come up earlier and they forgot to tell me but asked if they could do the interview now. I agreed and did the technical interview, which only had a few technical questions that were not very difficult. At the end of the interview I was informed that there would be one more in-person interview with the rest of the team. I was once again told that my name would for sure be passed along for this interview and it was reiterated that they urgently wanted to hire someone. That was almost 3 weeks ago. I have sent two follow up emails with no response. Overall, the communication and experience have been pretty terrible and if this is any indication of how the company is run then maybe I'm not too disappointed that they have ghosted me.
