WORST INTERVIEW EVER! DO NO RECOMMEND TO ANYONE! I attended the assessment interview yesterday on site for BPL. I was not informed correctly about all the assessments that were going to take place throughout the day firstly. It consisted of a group activity in a very small room, with about 30 people! after this we were given a very crap lab experiment to do on a normal office table, with basic lab equipment, trying to determine concentrations of unknown stock solutions. Shortly after, we were sent to the canteen for AGES to be called back to the room, to then give a presentation of what we did and the results. we were then interrogated with questions! (Felt like you were answering questions to a MSc or PhD thesis). Then after this, we were given a paper of numeracy and literacy questions for 20 minutes. Then another paper with 6 analytical maths dilutions questions that were long and hard, and then two written questions, one being about discussing a current topic in science, and this was for 45 minutes! The assessment day started 10 minutes late and finished 30 mins late. We were told we would hear back the next day by midday to inform us whether successful or not and that face to face interviews would be 24 hours later after being told successful or not! I took the day off work for this interview, I currently have a temporary job that i get paid hourly for, so taking the day off meant losing some of my weekly pay! I didnt hear back by midday the next day (today),. I'm not bitter about this, quite frankly after attending the site and meeting the people who acted prestigious, i wouldn't want to work somewhere that doesnt thank you for your time, and expects you to be free 24 hours later for a second interview! HONESTLY, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. most draining experience ever. no refreshments were provided.
