I randomly received a phone call from a recruitment agency called IOPEX. The recruiter confirmed that they had seen my CV on another recruitment agency website and thought my experience would fit the role. I received the job description on the 10th August and a telephone interview was arranged for later that day. Prior to the telephone interview I had asked the recruiter who would be on the call, he confirmed that his senior at the recruitment agency. I asked if anyone from BT would be on the conference call.....no reply. Whilst in conference, a programme manager from IOPEX who was seconded to BT joins the call and the telephone interview commences. Whilst trying to answer the questions the senior recruiter starts telling jokes about the recent Ashes score etc. totally unprofessional and rather off putting. Some how I managed to secure a face to face interview with the BT programme manager at head office scheduled for the 12th August. Interview went well, it was a rather relaxed interview but all the questions were answered. After sending follow up emails twice a week to the recruiter, I finally received some news via email that was extremely short, no feedback and rather rude. Overall a terrible interview process.
