I had had several short telephone conversations with the hiring partner before the actual interview. At the interview, I was first given an overview of the firm, their practice areas, the typical day in the life of a law clerk, and also career opportunities. The hiring partner then asked me generic questions (preferred areas of law, plans of studying abroad, academic ambitions). After 30-40 minutes, I was given a tour around the office, followed by a 30-minute-session with two current law clerks who were there to answer any questions I had. Once we were done, the hiring partner came in again to wrap up the interview. I was given a written offer that same day.
