J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Baker Tilly (Bethlehem, PA) en mai 2023

when I did mine, it was online on a zoom/Teams call. I basically had a speed dating interview, except it was with different team members at different levels of the organization. The intention behind this was genuine, but it felt a bit synthetic on their end. It last about an hour, and you had the chance to speak with each member for about 15 minutes.
You had a chance to then ask questions and they would ask as well. All of the questions were basic nothing too crazy. It all went sour though when I spoke to a senior associate and asked them about what challenges they'd dealt with working here and it became a awkward conversation about how they deal with the challenge of recently being overlooked for a promotion. They clearly seemed upset and hurt by this, but it was such an awkward experience on my end.

Overall, the interview process was pretty standard compared to my other experiences. I talked to two partners from different offices, and we got to know each other over some basic questions. i.e Why Tax? Why Baker Tilly? Why this location?

Question 1
Why do you want to go into Tax instead of something else like audit or assurance?
Person didn’t ask any questions, she was very rude and under estimated interviewer experience. Didn’t give the interviewer time to speak and ended the interview shortly after that. Interview was only 3 minutes.
