First round HR was fine and AC motivational interview was standard. Technical Interview was the problem - it was not technical at all (they asked me one technical question and no stock pitch, compared to other candidates who I talked to and were asked 2 stock pitches). Instead I was asked about my engineering background the whole time (which should have only been covered in my motivational interview) and asked me silly questions like what are my opinions on Elon Musk? Then my reason for rejection was not demonstrating my technical skills, despite only being asked one technical question (which I got right!). Advice for future - have the same questions for all candidates in the technical interview.

Motivational questions and Market knowledge and ended with a market sizing question. Lots of question about culture, and deep dive conversation on CV. Asked to pitch a stock also in the HR interview, very informal, not data required.

Telephone interview with HR, about competency, motivation, market knowledge, previous experience, cv. She asked for examples of when I used my skills, particularly interested in teamwork, and in committment to equity research. The girl was very nice, she talk me through the program, explained how it was going to work, salary, my resposibilities and the opportunities the internship would lead to.
