J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Betterment en mars 2019
Entretien
Recruiter reached out on Linkedin, first step was a call with a director of engineer to get a feel for what company was working on, then a two hour online coding and problem solving test administered through ByteBoard.
In person interviews were a pair of their engineers at a time asking a pretty collaborative question with some white board designing and then coding on a laptop. They seemed to really make a lot of effort to ensure the interview process is meaningful reflection of the skills they want.
overall positive experience

J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Betterment (New York, NY) en sept. 2024
Entretien
After I applied, the process was a recruiter screen, then a manager screen, and finally an in-person onsite in their New York office. The onsite was comprised of four rounds: coding, system design, another manager, and a behavioral.
Everyone I talked to was very nice, the questions were fair, their new office is cool, and I got a good impression of the place. I'm sad I didn't get an offer. It wasn't a total disaster of an interview, but there were places I could have done better for sure (taking the hint they were giving about scaling in the system design round as one example).

Question 1
The coding skewed practical. Think of the industry the company is in.
Manager/behavioral were very standard (for example about when you had disagreements or mistakes you made in your career).
