Screening call with recruiter.
It went well and she was optimistic about moving forward with the second part of the interview. At the end of my interview, she asked about my work eligibility and when I said that I had authorization for 3 years upon graduating (as I am international), she said she needed to check with HR and then she'd get back to me. I emailed her with a follow-up the next day, with no answer. On the following Monday, I got a rejection email that was sent out to every single applicant, and still no response to my previous email.
I think this is insensitive and unprofessional, and not a great reflection of their company culture. She could have asked me this question at the beginning of the call instead of wasting our time. I interviewed with other companies and they ask this first before starting the official interview. If they can't accept this visa type, they let me know before we went forward with the rest of the interview.
Was called by a recruiter, then set up a 30 minute interview. The interview then lasted less than 9 minutes and the guy didn't really know what role I was interviewing for. It felt like I was just a number.
