I learned about BitSight and a potential opportunity in late 2018. At that time, the opportunity wasn't a good fit. HR indicated they would "keep me in mind." To my pleasant surprise about 3 months later I received a call about a role that would be a better fit.
From there the interview process involved a phone screen about the new role with the HR recruiting lead. That was followed by a series of 3 on-site interviews in the Boston office. I was able to meet with a variety of team members, including both company co-founders, engineering leadership, marketing leadership, design, sales, and customer success team members. Since any leadership role for Product Management requires working with people from across the company's functions, this was a great opportunity to get a sense of the company.
The process required a bit of time, as aligning the on-site meetings with the range of people (many in leadership roles for BitSight) took some work. However, the recruiting team was flexible in working with me to make sure I was able to speak with all of the correct people ahead of a decision to join the company.
When I received the offer to join the company I was very comfortable with the visibility I had received during the interview process into the company, its position in the market, its challenges, and the team I would be joining.
