I applied via a recruiter who specialises in finding graduates for executive search companies. Blackwood don’t have a standard hiring process. They interview people throughout the year and ask a couple to attend assessment days. Unfortunately, I didn’t progress very far- it was clear that I wasn’t the right ‘fit’. I bear no resentment. However, I do think the associate handling the interview was extremely unprofessional and curt. She was 20 minutes late for a 10 minute interview. The questions were very generic. I was rejected by the original recruiter. The associate implied that I’d been deceitful on my CV, when it was evident she had failed to read elements. Feedback contained fairly rude comments on my aspirations and education. Completely unnecessary.
