long process, where candidate speaks to at least 6-7 managers/editors. Beat editors were very focused on the kind of stories ideas and reporting/writing skills you can bring to your job. Managers were more focused on your personality and team work spirits.
interviews become repetitive after a while but every step is important.
company prefers reporters with existing sources and can hit the ground running and start breaking news.

There were multiple rounds of individual interviews with managers. HR will shepherd you along. There was also a writing and editing test covering a range of business and financial topics.

My preparation for the interview includes brushing up on current news events to demonstrate my knowledge in that area. I've also taken some time to familiarize myself with different reporting styles, as well as other relevant aspects of the position such as content formatting and editorial guidelines.

Six questions, one and a half minute responses. You had time to prepare. You get one shot at each question, so make sure you prepare well. It was just weird having to stare into the camera and talk to yourself. It honestly would've felt more natural talking to a human.
