Phone interview to review the job role and glean chemistry fit. In person interview the following week to meet the team, take a tour of the building, and chat about what-if scenarios. You get a nice little goody-bag on your way out, which was a first for me.

I had a phone interview with a recruiter who had great things to say about the company and talked in depth about their ERGs and other great perks. He gave me a layout of the process and moved me to the next round. The next round was with a higher up and pretty laid back. He asked similar questions to the information that the recruiter initially asked me. The following round was 30 mnt interviews with 4 people. Two things stood out. The first, 3/4 people asked me the same question, I laughed the 3rd time they asked and the interviewer let me know I wasn’t supposed to be asked that more than once. The second thing that stood out, for a company that talked about values and ERGS, there was no diversity in their panel. Overall, I was pretty disappointed in process, the experience, and how time consuming it all was just to ask me the same questions over and over again.

I applied through their website, was contacted by the recruiter and had a chat with him. Then I had a call with the manager which went very well. The manager mentioned that the next step was to talk to a member of the team and that person would test me on how well I know their products.
I had the call with the member of the team who didn't ask anything about the products and didn't seem too excited to answer my questions about the team and the company.
Straight after that call I got a feeling that I won't be going to the next stage which was confirmed by the recruiter a few days later. I asked for feedback but the recruiter never got back to me.
It is a shame because the call with the team manager went so well and I got a great impression of the company. It would have been nice to hear feedback why I didn't go the next stage or what things I could improve.
