      Entretien

Very very strange interview process. Started with an initial phone call from a seemingly disinterested person, who was to be the lead on the recruitment side the whole way through across 4 weeks-yet I never met them! Invited to a case-interview at Bulb office, involved a case study relating to Bulb's Recommend a Friend scheme and was it worth while to continue, based on a table of data. The interview was held by one very young universit graduate, who had worked his way up in the ranks, which as time went on, seems to be the only thing they want in Bulb. He was very genuine and I built a good rapport, and was contacted by Recruitment to be invited back to interview number 2 ( I assumed the final one bearing the role is only a Team Leader role). This was held by near enough one of the founders of Bulb, another young uni graduate who wasn't really approachable or interested in what I was saying it felt. Either way I was then invited back for ANOTHER interview which was really quite disappointing as it felt like overkill and I had taken sooo much time off work for this already. Interview 3 was to meet the General Manager and some of the team. Some of the team meaning a Group Pod Lead, another young uni graduate who admitted none of them have been on any management courses (to my shock and surprise) and only have 1 other external pod leader. At this point I didn't think Bulb was for me. It seems all they want is someone who has gone to University and is young and creative. Despite the severe lack of management within the team, which I felt I could have easily shared and developed others with too. So, I was pretty much in shock that despite all of this time off, effort and good feedback, I was then contacted (after having to chase them!) to advise I didn't get the job, for reasons I could not quite see were feedback relevant to my performance. Very weird recruitment process and very strange set up!
