The interview process consisted of a take home test, phone screen, and then two rounds of in-person interviews. It was quite long, and required a significant time commitment, but the team are very responsive and accommodating and really went out of their way to find a time that worked for me (no mean feat considering the number of both junior and senior people involved!) Everyone was incredibly welcoming and friendly, and I got to pat some adorable dogs at all the in-person stages which was a nice perk :) It was a great interview process because it was fun, which isn't always the case. I learned a lot through doing the tech test, and also from talking it through in person with some of the engineers. They were kind enough to send me follow up tips on areas I could improve on, regarding my technical knowledge, which I felt was really going above and beyond in ensuring that candidates also take something away from the interview process. Really fab office, though the location might not work for everyone. In the end a combination of more practical things like location, and associated lifestyle changes, and other personal issues meant I didn't take the role. I would however wholeheartedly recommend Butternut Box to anyone even remotely thinking about it. You would end up working with some delightful people and pooches if you do get the role, and even if you don't you will learn a lot.
