      The interview at Cadence Translate was very organized. Each step has been clearly explained on their website. I also received very detailed instructions every step of the way. After my profile was reviewed, I was asked to submit a self-intro video. Afterward, it was case studies and behavioral questions. In the case study interview, I was given many scenarios and needed to share my solutions. I proceeded to the behavioral questions because I passed the case studies. And after I passed these, I had the final interview with the CEO to discuss whether Cadence fits my career plan and vice versa.

      Question 1

      In the case study part of the interview, I needed to decide which linguists to use depending on their availability and the clients' requests. For the behavioral questions, they were mostly questions like "tell me an example when you..." As for the final interview, I was asked how I would handle stress, what I like and dislike most about the language industry, and how I think my employer would describe me. There was also a hypothetical scenario where I needed to decide how I would spend $100 million if I were to start my own business.

      We had a live case study, behavioural interview, then a final round interview with a c-suite person but i did not make it to the final round. Case study was hard, but very enjoyable. I had my first session with the Head of HR who made the session easy to digest but that did not reduce the difficulty. There was an example for every section which helped me understand what the general structure was supposed to be. Unfortunately I struggled with it because I am math challenged but it was an enjoyable process.

      The entire interview process was smooth and enjoyable. Definitely, one of my favourite and best interview experiences. I had a total of 4 indivuial rounds. The cadence team ensured that they gave the candidates proper guidance throughout the process. I had to turn down this offer as I have already accepted another offer earlier :(

      My interview experience with Cadence was very pleasant. It was a smooth, transparent and thorough process. For me, the whole process took a little more than a month from applying to receiving an offer. There are few rounds of interviews: 1. Video Application - There are about 10 questions in total. Topics vary from self introduction to what is an IPO, you have 3 attempts to record your answer for each question. 2. (Optional) Coffee Chat - a 15 minute zoom call with Matt the CEO. Personally I think it was VERY helpful because you get to learn more about the role and the company. It was a casual chat and Matt was very nice to answer all the questions i had. 3. Case Study - I was given examples of situations that I would encounter as an associate and try to solve some problems within limited time. I believe that they want to see how you think instead of whether or not you came up with the right answer. 4. Behavioral Interview - They mostly asked about my past experience and how the skills I’ve learnt could apply to the role. Through the case study and behavioral interview, I get to meet some of the team members from Cadence. I was very nervous at first but thankfully all the interviewers were very nice which let me relaxed and be myself. And I could tell that they were also trying to get to know me on a deeper level other than just solely asking me the interview questions. 5. Career Fit - Discussion on expectation of the role, company culture, potential career path in the company etc. Matt was very honest about both the rewarding and challenging sides of the role. They are also very open for feedback and always responsive on emails.
