Received a call from the Technical Recruiter four days after submitting the resume. However, the Technical Recruiter didn't know following specifics about the role she's working on. 1) Salary range 2) Seniority of the role (Associate Consultant, Principal Consultant, Managing Consultant etc.) 3) When is she going to reply back with the application status. Difficult to believe this level of unprofessionalism from CAPCO who's offers consulting services. CAPCO HR leadership at CAPCO should provide more information to their front staff so that they can have meaningful discussion with potential recruits.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with your interaction with our Talent team. When interviewing candidates, we want to learn more about an individual’s skills, experience and career aspirations in order to determine their fit for a role and Capco, rather than assigning candidates to a level/role upfront. For candidates, this presents a greater opportunity to find a role that is right for them at Capco, beyond the limitations of a single job posting. This approach does mean that we are not always able to articulate an exact salary range until we have got a better understanding of the candidate. However, we can assure all candidates that Capco pays competitively in the market and that we undertake regular benchmarking exercises to ensure that we are in line with other consulting firms. Regarding the lack of communication around timelines and next steps, this is not in line with our usual process and we apologize sincerely for this. Our goal is always to provide the best candidate experience and we will take your feedback onboard and share this with the team to ensure that lessons are learnt. Should you wish to reach out to our Canadian Talent Lead, Natalie Cronick, she would be more than happy to take additional feedback.

They do multiple rounds of interviews with different teams - first an intro with the Human Resources recruiter, then a manager, and then technical team to gauge fit of your experience.

Positive My interview process with Capco was one of the most welcoming and respectful experiences I’ve had in consulting. Every person I met was friendly, genuine, and intentional about creating a comfortable environment. There were no “gotcha” or trick questions — the conversations were straightforward, fair, and focused on understanding my experience. I appreciated that they gave me time to think, ask for clarity, and speak openly without feeling judged. There was no sense of elitism or ego from anyone on the panel. Compared to other firms I’ve interviewed with, Capco’s culture felt noticeably more positive and grounded. I left the interview feeling respected, valued, and confident that my background and experiences were truly appreciated.

Interview process was fairly smooth, mostly verbal questions and no live coding/coding exercises. Overall a nice experience. Some issues after accepting the offer however, they then took 3 weeks to get back in contact with me. The response was that the role was no longer needed and i may get hired as a "culpability" role. Within 24 hours this was then changed to their is a role after all. This part was rather stressful.
