J'ai postulé via une agence de recrutement. Le processus a pris 5 jours. J'ai passé un entretien chez CareGuide

      Entretien

Unsoliciited advice: Trust the reviews. I was initiially contacted by a recruiter and interviewed with CareGuide 2 days after my inital conversation with the recruiter. During the call with the recruiter the abysmal glassdoor reviews were brought up and I was assured "They're working on it". I was cautious but took the interview. The first interview step was a one on one with the interviewer, during this time we went over the usual parts and I brought up the GlassDoor reviews, to which I was informed that they "Think it's one person writing all the negative ones". I found out in the next step the reviews are certainly not all from one individual. The next step was a coding challenge and a meeting with the a member of management and a member of the design team, both of whom spouted general "kool aid" answers and it was very clear that the reviews were accurate. The challenge was to "Write a method that takes a singly liinked list of nodes and an integer (k), return the kth from the end node." I firmly believe that this test is to weed out anyone who didn't go to college/university. It's pitched as a "Pair programming exercise". Do not believe it. There are three developers in the room, watching you work but if you ask questions or for assistance they give no help and will essentially ignore your question. After the first question the interviewer told the other two developers that they weren't needed. After they had disconnected I was just told "good bye" and the zoom call was ended. Overall, This is a company that should be avoided at all costs if the interview process is anything to go off of. They have devs on call to ensure that they don't have down time (and it was insinuated that you do not get paid for the on call times but rather "get a day off" if something goes on), the tech stack is concerning. They're using Ruby on Rails for most things with NextJS on the frontend but still using Rails as their monolith, they support 40+ products, including ones they won't even give names and just call them "Meeta". Of these 40+ projects NONE share a common base. They're all their own tailor made application which will become hell to support. The only way this interview could have been less professional is if they asked for free labour in the guise of a "coding challenge".
