Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Based on the process you describe, this was an interview from 2015 or 2016. We’ve only had a handful of on-site interviews for our engineering team in the history of the company, and we went fully remote at the end of 2018.
Fortunately, I am happy to let you know that our entire hiring process has gone through many iterations since then to ensure candidates are able to showcase their skills, and we revamped our process to make things more efficient. This year we made our entire hiring process available on our blog so candidates can know what to expect at each stage. We are currently working on a more efficient way to provide more feedback and transparency to candidates. As you mentioned, candidates spend quite a bit of time with us and we want to make sure we provide more insights into our decision making process. This isn’t always possible given that we wouldn’t want to disclose private information about other candidates, but we can certainly share more about the criteria we used to evaluate.
