The interview process was smooth, well-structured, and thoughtfully designed to align with the role’s requirements. Each round felt purposeful and helped me understand both the expectations and the team’s way of working. The interviewers were extremely polite, professional, and made the conversations engaging and comfortable. Overall, it was a very positive experience that gave me great insight into the organization’s culture and values.

TLDR; Challenging But Rewarding Interview Process The interview process took 3 weeks and had 6 rounds. 1. HR interview 2. Online HackerRank 3 Problems ( Medium Difficulty ) 3. Technical Interview + Live coding ( Leetcode style medium difficulty ) 4. System design interview ( Questions similar to designing an e-commerce platform and reasoning for the design ) 5. Engineering Manager interview ( Team fit / Culture fit ) 6. Director of Engineering interview ( Team fit / Culture fit ) After these 6 rounds and the final interview, it took a week for the recruiting team to notify me that I had not been selected for the role due to my lack of experience. ( Initially I applied for a Senior Software Engineer role, I had 4 years of experience while the job role "Senior Software Engineer" required a minimum of 6 years of experience at Carousell ). About a week later, the recruiting team contacted me again with another opening for "Software Engineer II" which tally with my years of experience and I had 2 interview rounds again as this position is with a different team. Interviews were with Engineering Manager and Engineering Director and were based on team fit/culture fit. About 2 days after the last interview, I received the offer which I accepted.

I had 6 rounds of discussions :- 2 purely technical , 1 techno-managerial , 1 product-manager round , 1 technical-aptitude (more like a fitment) and connect with one of the founder(fitment)
