Entretien
I first heard of CBeyond through a recruiter who told me that it was a new communications company with a young and aggressive work force. I was excited because as a recent grad It sounded like something I would be interested in. I had a telephone interview with the recruiter to gauge my interest in sales and was passed to the hiring manager. The office is located in a nice building and has only been open since january. I was told that because of this there was a lot of opportunity for growth. My interview was at 4:30 and I had to fight DC traffic to make it there at 4:10. As soon as I arrived I noticed that someone else was being interviewed. The interview lasted a long time and I didnt get interviewed till 5. I was not happy because the recruiter had stressed that I be on time and I felt that was a bit unprofessional on their part. Once my interview started I was asked the basic sales questions, for example.. Why sales? What makes you motivated? and so on. I could tell the manager was extremely impressed with my prior sales experience. I asked a lot of in depth questions to find out more about the job and discovered it was a straight door to door sales job. I did not like they did not give you a car allowance and they paid for your gas based on appointments. The next step was a ride a long with reps. It was exactly what I thought, going door to door saying anything to open up new business. The hours were crazy. First you had to be at the office by 7:30 for training/meetings then out in the field at 10, return to the office at 5:30 to report your sales then go home. I didn't get home till about 7. After I evaluated the hours, pay, and type of work I decided this was not a fit for me.
i showed up for an interview and was brought on an all day ride along with one of the reps walking door to door and essentially worked a full day for free.

Entretien
A repersenative called to talk about the position and some basic information and to set up an interview. Went to the interview and was asked basic questions about my resume, background, and some situation questions and how I handled them. Simple interview and was told at the end that they would call in 24 hours but never did. the job is a cold B2B sales job wanting tons of driving and cold sales to businesses.
