      Entretien

The interview process is long... and I mean long... involving a recruiter call, a HR call, a case study that can consist of multiple interviews, and a call with a Manager. It seems like the company is not in any rush to conduct the interviews or even has any vacancies they need to fill in the first place. This leads me to believe they are mostly conducting interviews to keep a talented pool of candidates already trained in their software (the case study recommends 12 hours but in my experience it can take in excess of 25-30 hours if you want to have something remotely interesting) hanging around should the business require them. Don't get me wrong I understand the allure of working for a Company like Celonis, but after confiding with other friends and family members who also work in the consulting space I found that most of us had already interviewed with Celonis and received the same treatment. Don't be surprised if an offer is dangled in front of you and then revoked a few days later because of some critical business situation, it happens a lot... ask any Celonis employee. If you are OK interviewing for weeks on end, learning their software and just to be told you need to join ASAP (without signing a contract) and then the offer falls through, but you are OK persisting for another 6 months - 1 year, to eventually land the position at a pretty interesting company, then you should apply.

      Question 1

Describe process mining to your grandma. Weaknesses, stregnths. Why should we buy Celonis? Why would a company not choose Celonis? What customers do you think we have?

I applied because someone from the company thought it would be a good fit for me and had no idea how ridiculous the expectations would have been for an "early career" position. I have never once been given a task with homework preparation to learn the companies platform leading up to the first round interview I spent what minimal time I had with the short notice of the interview during a busy season for me, but it didn't matter although I think I did well in their platform exercise at it interview, I was not ready for these gotcha questions. After that I was told there was to be 2-3 presentation and panel rounds. I have never heard of a more exhausting interview process for position of < 3 years experience. Last but not least, the interviewer was very rude and showed visible signs of impatience and frustration by the time at the end of the interview, even though I was polite and showed genuine interest, explicitly and respect in even paid compliments. I just knew that I wasn't gonna make it to the second round, big waste of my time. The recruiter was awesome, though! Be ready for wild questions or else you will get scoffed at. Makes you wonder if those required training modules they ask you do prior to the 1st round are worth it if you can't make it past the tough guy gatekeeper. *Edit: I do recall looking at this Glassdoor feed and saw that many people reported being asked a lot of Value Engineer role term definitions. Thus, I also spent quite a bit of my 13th hour moment, I made sure I was solid on all the various key terms (they have a lot). BUT, I was asked 0 of these questions instead - it did not help in my case.

First screening call with HR manager, next a call with the head of the ORBIT program and a future ORBIT manager and finally a technical challenge where you are given a fictional company and have to pitch Celonis' Value proposition given their pain points
