I was contacted by the recruiter back in December 2025 on Indeed but declined due to the position being onsite and my commute time. I saw the position posted again in January 2026 and decided to apply because I was curious why it was still open. After applying on Indeed I received an email from the same recruiter about two days later to set up an interview. I did the virtual interview with him and was told his notes would be submitted to the hiring manager. I never heard back and wasn't expecting to hear back because I think we both knew I wasn't truly interested in the position.
