I was contacted thru an headhunter for a position of Category Manager i.e. Global Lead Buyer. I passed not less than 6 interviews (some in-person, others by-phone), starting with the headhunter and continuing with: - HR manager - my (future) direct boss - 2 VPs Unfortunately at the end I wasn't hired - but anyway it was a professional process. I cannot give top grade to Chemtura though, simply because I was never told why I failed. I mean, I can understand that HR cannot spend a lot of time discussing with all candidates, but if you arrive to the final match and lose, you expect to know the score (a 3 min phonecall is sufficient).
