The gist: lots of video interviews. Came out of it perplexed and like I was lied to in interviews about their impressions as I asked in interviews if what impressions and concerns were. So, make sure you pin them down on that. no closure or feedback when asked for clarification of why wouldn’t be moving forward in interview process. I was contacted to schedule a screening a little over a week after applying. Screening was video call with recruiter with prepared questions. Was told I’d hear back in 3 days if further interviews, which I did hear back to schedule interview with manager from a different team than posting who would be my peer (or my direct report?). Confusion from the beginning about what I was interview for and never got a clear answer. I applied to food science and manager, but then was told the manager posting was actually for a director. (So some red flags for the organization on communication clarity there). The interview with the peer manager was mostly focused on explaining how the company functioned and some conversational questions about my qualifications. After that got asked to interview with a director level employee that going to be either my manager or my direct report? (Again more confusion on what I was interviewing for, Also not good) and yes I did ask that question in these interviews . Then, got a brief rejection email that I had to push to get. Still no idea why was rejected why was not being considered for any role. In further reflection can see concerning issues with how they communicated and treated a potential employee.

A secretary sent a schedule for the interview with another scientist. Phone interview was about 30 min. I felt that the interviewer was forced to do this interview asking questions that are supposed to be given. Also, the interviewer was reluctant to answer to my questions.
