First they want you to tell them about yourself so I started with my education background which transitioned into some of the CEQA stuff I did for school. The second part was a 20 minute test where you had to read an initial study or report and summarize in simple terms why a project was exempt. It was the fastest 20 minutes of my life.

Had a zoom interview with a lovely woman and thought it went well. Very generic questions about my background and experience. I completed a take home assignment which was just summarizing a section in a CEQA document. I never heard back from the company even after two follow-up emails. Very unprofessional. If you are going to waste people's time at least let them know they did not get the job. I hate when companies ghost qualified candidates (I literally have a masters degree in env. policy). I found out through Linkedin they hired someone else. They made it seem like they were hiring for multiple locations/positions, but during the interview the lady asked if I was interested in a communications role. Should have realized the red flag when I applied for a manager position and they interviewed me for an assistant position.
