This is the worst interview experience I have ever had. Not only do I feel disrespected, but I also feel I wasn't given a fair chance at this role. Completely unprofessional and rude.
I was scheduled for a phone interview that was supposed to be 45 minutes with a consultant (let’s call them consultant 1), however, on the day of the interview, another consultant (consultant 2) interviewed me. Consutlant2 was in a rush and sounded to be driving and distracted throughout the whole case. How is it appropriate for ClearView to ask me to schedule 45 minutes for a phone interview, and then not allow me to have the same opportunities as other candidates?
Consultant2 began the interview by saying he had no time for fit questions and we had to go straight into the case (he only had 25 minutes to conduct the interview). Consultant2 proceeded to ask me the same questions 3-4 times because he was driving and obviously doing something else during the interview. Right at 28 minutes, I was cut off because he had to go and couldn’t even ask any questions.
When I reached out to my friends, who also interviewed with ClearView and they were all asked fit questions. Obviously, I was extremely concerned because I wasn’t sure how I could be evaluated against other candidates without the fit questions being asked. I reached out to recruiting and was told the fit questions don’t matter. This is the exact opposite of what I’ve heard from every single consultant I have talked to at ClearView and other life science consulting firms. If fit questions don’t matter, why does ClearView ask them at all? Why waste interviewees’ time?
Because I wasn’t asked fit questions, I’m not sure what caused me to get rejected. Is it that I suck at casing? Is it because the interviewer didn’t connect with me because they didn’t ask any fit questions and didn’t want me to be interviewing in the first place? Additionally, this was so disrespectful it actually makes me think ClearView had decided I wasn’t a good candidate before they interviewed me so they were like why even bother with the fit questions (this person sucks anyways).

The interview was good but challenging. The interviewer was kind, professional, and supportive, making the conversation comfortable. Overall, it was a positive experience and a valuable learning opportunity for me.

The interview was composed of two rounds, one behavioral interview with a quick introduction and two standard questions. The case part of the interview was life science related, pretty intuitive. Each round was 30min and both interviewers were personable.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you made a mistake, what did you learn from it?

relatively straightforward, both interviewers are very nice and helpful. Case interview first then behavioral. There are three behavioral "story type" questions, so be prepared to tell your stories! We finished the behavioral interview within 20 mins, so I also had plenty of time to ask questions. A good experience overall.
