The job was posted on the local craigslist actually to email the account executive a resume and go from there. So I took a chance emailed her my resume and immediately got a phone call literally 30 mins after submitting the resume. I have no manager experience whatsoever and I am 19 years old. The only experience I have is administrative assistant. So no cosmetic experience but I know how to properly put makeup on and the manager at stage saw that. She called me in after the account executive sent her my info and I had an interview the next morning. The interview went well it was a typical interview same ole questions and I also have tons of confidence and I think that helps too. The same day she sent my info to talent plus and I got a phone call from them that day to schedule an interview for the next afternoon. The talent plus interview was kinda different. The woman states that she was going to offer no feedback after any answer and said she could not explain the question. There was one question I told her I could not answer bc I had no idea what it meant and I really thought I did bad she asked personal things that I really did not want to give up to a stranger and I guess they test how you react to that and how you go along explaining something. Like your communication tactics and how you respond with people. But I got a call about 3 hours after my talent plus interview with an offer and I accepted. I also kept the account executive posted and let her know how excited I was about the job a number of times and I also sent a snail mail letter to the stage store manager to let her know that I apperciated her time and that I was excited about possibly becoming a part of her team.

Initial interview, followed by face to face interview, followed by on counter demo, followed by store approval/interview. This was 10 years ago so I imagine it’s more virtual now with video calls.
