I applied on LinkedIn and by the next day I received a call for a phone interview. The woman was very nice and just asked a few standard questions about myself. By the end of the call she asked if I could come in within the next couple days for an interview.
I went into the office two days later. I was shocked to see it was only a two employee office. I was confused as to where everyone else was. In the interview I was asked about my customer service background. When I asked what a normal day was like the interviewer told me all about the wonderful meetings they have in the morning but wouldn't answer anything about the events themselves. She made it seem like this was such a wonderful job where there was so much room to grow in such a short time and that the salary would grow to 80,000 within a year. She then told me if I was selected for the next step then I would shadow someone at an event and they would call me by 4pm. I did get a call and she told me the address of the event, it was a Sam's Club. At no point in the interview did she mention that it was strictly a sales job. She was very misleading in the interview making it seem like the job was planning the event itself. I accepted to go to the interview but then she told me the address and it was all the way in Princeton, NJ- a whole 1 1/2 away.
After reading other reviews telling me the same I thing I had just experienced I emailed the company to ask if this was really where they were sending me and if selling products was what I would be doing. I never got a response back.
Finding a job in this market is hard enough without a company trying to scam you into something you don't want to do by promising promotions and huge pay raises. It's sad to see that on LinkedIn they are still posting various "different" open positions to try and catch people.

The Preliminary interview took about 20 minutes. The interviewer asked simple questions and give a brief description of the job. It seems to be a mall both position with the ability to grow.

You first have an interview at their office. The second interview is a working interview. I feel completely lied to. This job is strictly sales and marketing. I watched the one woman go up to people in Sams Club and try to sell people luxury hotel sheets. In no way is this for an event assistant. You aren't behind the scenes or creating events. You'll be meeting with clients and help them sell their product in stores, but this is all sales.
