My experience was that I had an initial phone interview with the recruiter who was great. Passed me along to a team member for a 30 min. interview. The conversation was so dry. I tried to get the interviewer to engage more but for some reason didn’t want to. No questions of substance were asked of me, so I just explained trying my best not to come off as pretentious because of the one-sided dialogue. All to say, I knew I wasn’t going to move on to the next round. It’s so weird because this experience was completely opposite of the conversation I had with the recruiter. He was awesome! I still don’t understand where I went wrong. I know I at least met all the requirements on the job description as a colleague told me I should apply because they thought I did more than what was on the description. And the recruiter must’ve thought so too if he passed me along. I usually don’t chalk up things up to discrimination, but then what the heck was this experience?
Of course, no feedback was provided. I am disappointed in this company.
Oh yeah, they say if you’re not a “Hell Yes!”, you’re a “No”.
That’s very pretentious for a company that has and currently still is laying off waves of employees.
This makes no sense like my interview.
