J'ai postulé via une agence de recrutement. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Coinsquare (São Paulo, ) en mars 2021

I Just received the email with no relevant feedback just an empty email telling me that Coinsquare will not move forward with my process
Looking at the Coinsquare reputation here and the Google and Apple store from his App, I would say, that was the better decision from my process
1 - HR Call
2 - Tech Discussion
3 - Project Presentation -> This step one of the Interviewers looked so boring, sketching during the presentation with the mic opened
Questions d'entretien [1]

The interview process involves initial resume screening, followed by a technical assessment, possibly coding or problem-solving. Successful candidates proceed to an on-site or virtual interview, discussing their experience and problem-solving approach. The process concludes with a final interview round, gauging cultural fit and personality alignment with the team.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Coding Challenge: Implement a function to determine if a given string is a palindrome (reads the same forwards and backwards). Algorithmic Thinking: Explain the differences between depth-first search (DFS) and breadth-first search (BFS) algorithms. Provide a real-world scenario where each would be more suitable. Problem-Solving: You're tasked with designing a basic online shopping cart. How would you structure the data and operations to handle adding/removing items and calculating the total cost? Technical Knowledge: What are RESTful APIs, and how do they differ from SOAP-based web services? Provide advantages of using REST in modern web development. Behavioral Question: Describe a situation where you had to work collaboratively within a team to overcome a significant technical challenge. How did you contribute to the solution and what did you learn from the experience?

I spoke with one of the engineers first who was very nice. I got a great first impression after speaking with him. Afterwards, I looked up reviews for working at CoinSquare and I was a little worried seeing such negative reviews. I still carried on with the second part. It was pretty simple where you showcase some code you've written.
This is where CoinSquare could use some work. You don't REALLY get a chance to showcase your work and talk about design patterns and decisions in the short time, especially when the 2 interviewers looking at your code both have different questions. I was being bounced between the two interviewers without given the time or focus to things. This obviously creates a negative experience for them and myself -- It felt unorganized. I would have much rather they had a set of questions prepared; they sort of just "winged" it. As an engineer, I feel like I may have dodged a bullet. It makes me wonder how they prepare/plan their software if they can't properly prepare for a good interview.
Thanks for sharing this feedback. I'm sorry you didn't have an ideal interview experience. We're going to dive into this feedback to see what improvements we can make to the process. By all means if you have more to add, feel free to e-mail me at martin.hauck@coinsquare.com. Thanks again.
