Boorooma Coles (Wagga Wagga) Group Interviews My first interview process and honestly the worst experience in terms of no contact with any of the staff members Poorly messaged with no information about where the exact room the group meetings could be placed. Walked in, had to place a name tag on your chest. Asked the person beside you - Why do you want to work at Coles? In what sector/role? What things do you associate with Coles? and separtley what are Coles values to the whole cohort Roughly 6-7 staff members ranging from areas of the region talked about the individual sectors/roles you should apply for Filling in the application sheet pretty much filled in the rest of the interview time Now for my say: - I maybe a first timer in terms of applying for a job but how can you hire someone without knwoing them individually? Their interests, personality and truly understanding how their unqiue dynamic will fit in with the wider group of employees. - Does dressing in smart casual not do the job? The only male in the room to be in the correct uniform and they more than likely applied people who turned up in school uniform, soccer jerseys and casual clothes. How does that cut it? Maybe if you gave some attention to the people who did the right thing it would uphold one of your values to be in correct uniform. Seriously Turn it Up what else can I do? Overall very easy as you twiddled your thumbs for an hour, if your going to make over 100 people do the interviews at least do the process properly.
