      Entretien

      The hiring process started after I applied to the open position posting on LinkedIn. I was contacted shortly after by one of Collibra's internal recruiters. I was asked to pick a date and time for my initial screening. After, the initial screening I was asked to be interviewed by the hiring manager. I was once again asked to pick several potential date and times for my interview. The interview with the hiring manager was interesting. I was asked a series of scenario based questions that were Data Governance related but somewhat specific to Collibra. The interview lasted for an hour. Shortly after my interview with the hiring manager the internal recruiter contacted me promptly and asked me to pick times for an interview with an internal partner. The interview with the internal partner was scheduled for the following week. The interview lasted about 30 minutes , and was more conversational than my previous interview. Once again the internal recruiter reached out to me shortly after my 3rd interview with the partner to schedule another round of interviews with more internal partners. This round of interviews were split into two sessions. A 30 minute session one week (1 partner), and a hour session with 2 partners the following week. After, the session with the two partners the recruiter promptly followed up with me to inform me that the final step would be a possible meeting with the CTO if the Hiring Manager wanted to move me forward. The following week the recruiter called me to inform me that I was not selected to move forward, and that there was little feedback to be given. I was a solid candidate and there were "just some really little things". There was no elaboration on the "little things". The big issue for me is the interview process needs to be condensed. 5 possibly 6 interviews is excessive. The challenge of carving out time within a candidates work schedule for 5 rounds of interviews is extreme.
