The process was typical and HR did a great job coordinating and communication only BEFORE the interview. The interview itself was with the President, HR, and Director of Operations. The President and HR were very nice. They were friendly and we actually had moments of laughter. The Dir of Ops was not friendly at all. She struggled to force a very quick smirk during those moments. When it was time for me to ask questions, I asked what is the biggest challenge for a person stepping in this role. She simply responded with a snarky non-answer and said "the biggest challenge is filling this role!" And it's very clear why they have been interviewing candidates for a year now. She has very high expectations for the role and a ridiculously low salary. PMs are making more than what they are offering a Director position.
I'm very good a reading people and thankfully I did not get the job because it was clear to see she would be very difficult to work for. I wish the best of luck to the person that does gets the role.
After the interview, I was told I would hear back in a couple days. One week later, I emailed the HR person... no response. A few days later, I called the HR person and it went to her VM. About 30 minutes later, I received the generic "thank you but we regret to inform you" email. The follow up could have been handled much better and quicker since it was obvious during the interview the Dir of Ops disapproved from the start.
