      The interview process initially flowed smoothly. I submitted my application on a Thursday/Friday if I recall correctly, and by the following week a recruiter on the east coast reach out to schedule time to go through the phone screening. I was pretty excited at first to interview for this company, after research, I figured this could be my next home for the long-term. Glassdoor reviews were pretty transparent and had decent ratings... so I was stoked. After my phone conversation, I was moved to the other round. This initially was scheduled as a 1-hour video conference for the following week. The night before the second interview, I received an email informing me of a date/time change. The following day I received further update that they wanted me to come in for an in-person interview. The Interview: I met with 3 employees during my interview ("operations hiring manager", a new manager, and a representative from the People and Culture team). The conversations went great in my opinion, I was excited about the possibility of joining this Company. During the interview I asked about the next steps of the interview process, and was informed that there would be an assessment. In my final interview that day, I was informed that I would hear something by Friday. Let's just say 6-7 Fridays later, as I am writing this review, I have not received any updates, even though I have followed up twice with both recruiters (the recruiter that conducted my phone interview, and the recruiter that scheduled my in-person interview) for feedback or updates regarding my application. That honestly left a bad taste in my mouth. I would have even settled for a generic rejection letter (which they supposedly sent but I never received...and trust me I scoured my Spam folder, searching under every title possible) at this point. What started out as a decent experience, turned sour pretty quickly sad to say, especially since previous Glasdoor reviews, indicated that even if they didn't place you in the role you applied for, if they considered you a "great fit for company culture" they would advise accordingly and work with you to place in a role that utilizes your experience and talents. But once again, with no further communication or feedback after my interview, I guess I will never know what my strong points or weak points were. For a company growing at the speed Compass is growing, I would recommend they try to be consistent and professional in their interview process. If you are not moving on with a candidate, be courteous and let them know, especially when you provided an end-date on which they would hear something. Disappointment is an understatement. This was a classic, don't call us, we will call you.

      A short two phone interview. Process has clearly changed in two years. I interview with someone in NYC, and then another person in SF. Was offered the job a day later.

      The recruiter and agents I interviewed with were all friendly and kind throughout the process. During my phone screen, the recruiter gave very candid advice. They provided feedback and ultimately went with other candidates since they thought I lacked enough presentation experience.

      Entretien

      Interview consisted of an email interview, a phone interview, and an in person interview with three different Compass employees. The process was fairly simple and straight forward. After each round I advanced in, I was communicated with quickly to let me know about next steps. There was one hiccup where I expected to get an offer and ended up needing to wait a week due to logistics on behalf of the business.

      The person who would become my direct report asked me why I left my previous job and if I should have spent more time there before departing. This was a great question because it caught me off guard and it forced me to think about and demonstrate my decision making for life decisions bigger than finishing a project or working with a team. Excellent question!
