J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Compass (New York, NY) en avr. 2021
Entretien
1 Technical Coding Screen + 5 person Loop.
5 person loop consisting of 1 Design session, 2 coding sessions, 1 Behavioral, and 1 High level examples based session with a VP.
5 of 6 interviewers were untrained and difficult to talk to. One interviewer was basically silent 90% of the time.
The coding questions really had no direct relation to what you would actually do on the job and the interviewers provided a terrible experience. Nobody explained the role or left enough time for questions.
I honesty did not meet the bar for this role that recruiting set me up for, but it was simply the wrong role. Overall, the team provided a bad experience and I am unlikely to interview here again.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
All coding questions centered around designing some form of algorithm to process a complex string. For example, given a string return valid words or suggestions for words. You are provided a dictionary.

Interview process was lengthy- 7 rounds - 1 Karat screening , 2 coding rounds, 1 system design, 1 tech deep dive ( past project in-depth discussion ), 1 hiring manager , 1 HR.
There is no specific order as such. HR round may happen before completing hiring manager or coding round - this is bit strange.
I find it complete waste of time. Even after doing pretty good in all the rounds (and hiring manager saying he would love to have you onboard ), they were confused where to put candidate ( role , salary etc. ) . Feel like leadership is bit immature.
One of the technical interviewer was very arrogant , actually felt like he was trying to somehow find the reason to reject, the tone and the cross questions where pretty bad, interview cannot be more disrespectful. If you are very senior folk , you probably do not want to appear for interview with interviewer like this.
Suggestion - if you still want to appear for interview, upfront clarify the role and salary before appearing for any interview round. Do not be fooled by company/consultant when they say that salary is open. Thats a joke, at least with Compass.
